overheard a brit and american the other day screaming at the tops of their voices about how cheap the beer is here and they caouldnt belive it was only 60czk in the cheapest bars
that is a load of horse manure
in ZIZKOV i know a place where they serve up the stuff for 10 bleeding koruna.
zizkov is THE place if you are looking for cheap beers at every bar and great little eateries serving up awesome meals for the price of 5 of those cheap beers
yup, 2 dollars for a good hearty meal
the street you want is borijova street and the bars are along there
my tip is nad viktorkou for the atmosphere, fussball, cheap as hell drinks and food and the friendly locals
do yourselves a favor if you haven't done so already...
discover Zizkov

The Czechs are set to adopt the Euro as official currency in 2010.
This means that prices will increase after 2010 SO GET HERE WHILE THE PRICES ARE STILL ROCK BOTTOM
I've been here for just over 5 months now and still can't believe just how cheap it is here still (I lived in Zizkov back in 1996-1998).
Can a non-Czech start a 'Rage against the Euro campaign'? |

Please note that it is looking very likely that the Euro won't be introduced here (in the Czech Republic) until 2012. Definitely not in 2010 anyway now.
Why I really can't work out - seeing as though Slovakia have had the Euro as official currency since January 2009. Oh well, not having the Euro here keeps the prices down so can't grumble |
